5 Tips for the perfect Road Trip

The suitcase is packed, the music is on and the windows are down: the adventure can start. No matter if you hit the road just for a day or for an unknown period of time - road trips are magical and always create a very special feeling of freedom. To get sure your trip stays that magical, follow the 5 tips below and there is nothing that can ruin your adventure.

  1. Less planning - more fun

“Life is a journey, not a destination” - ok, it may sound a bit cheesy but it is true. Not only as a life advice but also as a great tip for your road trip. So don’t plan too much, cause the best things in life happen always spontaneously. Wouldn’t it be a pity if you would drive along the most amazing white sandy beach but you can’t stop cause it doesn’t fit into your schedule? Yes! There is simply no better feeling then being totally carefree and knowing you can do whatever you feel like in this very moment - especially without checking the time constantly. So just take the moment as it comes and enjoy it.

   2. Music, music and more music

Music and road trips are like coffee and milk - they belong to each other no matter what.  How nice is it to just sing along your favourite guilty pleasure song together with your travel crew? It is super fun and will definitely bring you guys more together. Prepare different playlists or just look for your old CDs - the more choice the better. It is especially nice when your soundtrack fits the area you are driving around. So why not listen to the Beach Boys when you are cruising around California or how about a bit of Carla Bruni for your road trip along the Côte d’Azur?

  3. Water and Snacks

Make sure you always have enough water and food in the car. There is nothing worse than driving around with an empty stomach or a dry throat and not being able to find a restaurant or a supermarket. If you have an emergency or you cannot drive on, it is always good to have enough to survive for some hours. So better always fill up your stock at every stop!

        4. Security Check

Yes, this is definitely the most unpopular task before starting a road trip but it is essential, if you do not want to end up like the two women below on the picture. Make sure you checked things like the oil, water and air in the tires. It is also very important to have a warning triangle, safety vests and a first aid kit with you. On a road trip you shouldn't need to worry, so better be sure to have everything you might need with you!

 5. The right crew

Every journey is a success as long as you do it with the right people. So think about who you want to take your trip with. In a car full of people it is quite hard to get some privacy if you need it. So be sure you get along with your company. You should be on the safe side with your best friends or your partner and even if there is something coming up, you will overcome it together.
